Rodger. He was so much more than just a man with dementia.
He was born in Tornimparte, Italy in 1926. He held advanced degrees in mathematics and literature and spoke seven languages. Enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Rodger served as an interpreter in Yugoslavia, and afterward, settled down to fulfill his dream of marrying and raising a family. An inspiration, indeed.
